Access to SAP HANA in AWS.

To begin, you should know that the SAP HANA database from Sophos Solutions, hosted in local installations, supports transactional workloads and business administration process analytics.

We faced a challenge in which the platform presented limitations to delivering the computational capacity and performance level required to meet growing demand from the processes. In addition, the high volume of remote users continuously connected via VPN connections, resulted in high response times, negatively impacting user productivity and experience.

In addition, the high volume of remote users continuously connected via VPN connections, resulted in high response times; this negatively impacted user productivity and experience.

Thanks to owr team's creativity and experience, we designed and implemented an action plan to migrate the SAP HANA workload to the AWS cloud. We considered the evolution toward a SAP database in infrastructure-as-a-service modality and an architecture with safe and global access, through virtual desktops. The AWS platform is found to be fully optimized and SAP-certified to agilely and automatically migrate, deploy and carry out SAP HANA production workloads. AWS offers optimized processing components to implement memory databases with high computational capacities, which allows it to reach one of our goals: improving the SAP HANA system performance.
During the solution implementation process, DevOps infrastructure practices were adopted and implemented which automated and accelerated configuration processes and deployment of infrastructure components; standardized and achieved high-quality levels in the solution architecture; integrated security capabilities, and reduced potential risk for human error.
As a result of the organization and focus on owr client's, we achieved the successful migration of the SAP HANA setting, applying AWS and SAP best practices to correctly configure and customize the workload.

We act today to improve our clients’ tomorrow.

At Sophos Solutions, each one of our work teams is focused on offering high-quality solutions that allow our clients to continue evolving. Because of this, we want to share with you the main benefits achieved through the migration of the SAP platform to the AWS cloud:

Agile and trusted migration from the SAP platform to the cloud, without impacting service availability or performance.

Achieving the best performance from SAP HANA systems in the cloud, as a result of adopting architectures based on AWS and SAP best practices.

Increase in remote collaborator productivity by setting up virtual workstations, with excellent experience in using corporate platforms.

Achieving cost efficiency results by enabling low demand consumption of the computational capacities that process SAP HANA workloads. High availability and continuity outline that fulfills the business’s recovery time and point objectives (RTO and RPO).
