SP Academy.

Alignment of good practices from the educational platform SP Academy in the AWS cloud.

The Sophos Solutions educational platform hosted on the AWS public cloud Our educational platform is found within the public AWS cloud and faced performance, speed and security challenges due to the high demand of frequently connected users. With the purpose of continuing to form a permanent community of learning, we drove the platform’s continued improvement project, with the goal of maintaining AWS good practices.

With the purpose of continuing to form a permanent community of learning, we drove the platform’s continued improvement project, with the goal of maintaining AWS good practices.

We used the Well-Architected Framework Review of AWS to conduct an evaluation and diagnosis the ‘SP Academy’ educational platform, and then developed an action plan to resolve the high, medium, and low-level risks to which the platform was exposed. The work plan was structured for short, medium and long term in order to achieve the architecture’s alignment with the resource sizing, availability, performance and security best practices recommended by AWS and Moodle.

The educational platform is hosted entirely in the AWS cloud and achieves content distribution by safely integrating with Sophos Solutions’ local information systems.
